Weak Foot Development and Ball striking Development
Developing a usable weak foot is a major milestone as a player. If left unattended it can be a real weak spot in a players technical armory. Players develop a fear of it and will do what ever they can to avoid using it. Playing off the dominant foot is fine - the best players in world do this, but they can also use their weak foot when required, as Messi kindly demonstrates in this clip.
Weak Foot Development and Ball striking Development
There are few basic fundamental things that a players must be comfortable doing when using the weak foot (or the dominant foot if a player is at the start of their ball striking journey). These are not difficult to do but just require a lot of repetition for them to start to feel comfortable.
Initially the ball doeskin even have to be involved. In fact it is better if it is not. Below are few videos going through the fundamentals. If you work with your child or your child is a good self developer then use these videos as a guide.
