Practice 4 two touch FFPs using a Drag back U pattern
- Inside switch Outside
- Inside Inside
- Inside step outside
- Outside step Inside
The U shape is really important.
- The forward touch is like a forward touch in a game (or a change of direction touch) which would lead into a pass or another touch.
- The drag back (shuffle) into another touch is a technique in it self.
- The drag back can also represent a pass in a game from a teammate. Then the inside touch off the drag becomes a control/first touch (off a pass)
The Challenge
- The challenge is to do 10 without stuffing up.
- Then the challenge is how quick can you do this.
- Then can you do it this quick with the head up
Improvise
- Swap the drag with a pass out and then get the back
- Use a wall
- Use a partner
- Use a catcher / thrower
Have fun
Players who practice even just 5 minutes a day will accelerate past those that don't.
