Weak Foot - version 2

Weak Foot Development and Ball striking Development

Developing a useable weak foot is a major milestone as a player. If left unattened it can be a real weak spot in a players technical armoury. Players develop a fear of it and will do what ever they can to avoid using it. Playing off the dominat foot is fine - the best players in world do this, but they can use their weak foot when required as Messi kindly demonstrates.

Weak Foot Development and Ball striking Development

There are few basic fundamental things that a players must be comfortable doing when using the weak foot (or the dominant foot if a player is at the start of their ball striking journey). These are not difficult but just require a lot of repetition for them to fell comfortable.

Initially the ball doesnt even have to be involved. In fact it is better if it is not. Here are few videos going through the fundamentals. If you work with yourchild or your child is a good self developer then use these videos as a guide.
