Quick Policy Explanation

In short these are the catch up policy is as follows :

In regards to last term  :
  • A cancelled session (due to dangerous weather, for example) will be offered as an unconditional credit next term.
  • Long term injury (LTI) credits from last term will be offered if they weren't caught up in the normal way last term and were applied for in the correct way at the time. You must apply for LTI credits at the time of the injury.
  • Long term holiday (LTH) credits from last term will be offered this term if they weren't caught up in the normal way and were applied for in the correct way at the start of term. You must apply for LTH credits at the start of the term.
  • All other missed sessions need to be caught up in the normal way). This can be done over a number of terms.
  • There are no refunds for any cancelled or missed sessions, or for leaving the program after commencement.
In regards to this term fees :
  • This terms fees will account for any cancelled sessions from last term that could not be caught up in the normal way (doubles or using the holiday special deal).
  • This terms fees will account for any long term injury/holiday credits that were correctly applied for at the time (last term) and that could not be caught up in the normal way.
  • If you cant commit in full for the term this term then the last resort option is to PAYG but this is more expensive ($40 a session for a 90 minute session). Also there is no family discount and is conditional on there being an appropriate spot available (which is not always the case).
  • If you do not continue in the program in the following term, or move to a PAYG option, all credits are unfortunately lost.
Please note : A large chunk of the TST fees paid at the start of the term, goes towards the cost of running the session regardless of whether a player turns up or not. With this said, due to the fixed costs of running the sessions means we need to be very mindful of credits given for missed sessions* and mindful about players not being able to commit to the program for a complete term.

*It is similar to gym membership in the sense that most of your Gym fees goes towards the fixed costs of running the gym. You could go to the gym everyday in theory, but you wouldn't expect a refund for every day you didn't attend. That is : You pay to get access to the gym, and not for actual gym sessions themselves.

In the same way , it is also important to note that TST players are paying to reserve a spot in the program and not for the sessions themselves.

For this reason, it is also not possible to reduce fees for the sessions players know they will miss later in the term. This policy is in place because of the fixed costs that need to be paid. 2/3s of the fees goes towards the cost to run the session and that's when there are 6 in a group. If there are less than 6 then the costs per player are more, and if there are only 3 or 4 in a group then the group runs at a little loss and whenever a player gets a full credit for a missed session (LTI/LTH) then we have to pay their share of the fixed costs for that session.

That's why when a player commits to the program they are in fact paying for a spot in the program and not for the individual sessions themselves. And it is up to them whether they use this spot or not.

So whenever we are asked if we can account for a missed session, the answer will always be : Is it possible to do a catch up by
  • Doing a double session (jump into another appropriate session) on a saturday, or
  • Using the holiday special deal or,
  • By jumping into another session that may be running (which is not often)?
